Our History and Future

Appalachian Outfitters of Murphy, NC opened in the summer of 2006.  Our love for this beautiful area and outdoor adventure led us to open the doors to an outfitters store in downtown Murphy.
 

Since opening in 2006 we have expanded and moved our storefront to a large location in the back of the building.  We are scheduling for outdoor adventure trips and classes.  If you are interested in hearing more information about trips or classes, come into the store or call us.  Please sign up to be on our email  list and receive newsletters.


We proudly stock a variety of gear for hiking, fishing, biking, camping, and paddling.  We have based our gear to the outdoor adventure that you are geared for.

We are located in beautiful downtown Murphy, NC, just south of the confluence of the Valley River and Hiwassee River, where they join to form Lake Hiwassee.
